MK WANDERERS TOURNAMENT- 5 June Sunday - Directions

I have pleasure in confirming your entry into our 6-a-side tournament over the weekend of the 4th and 5th June at Leon School and Sports College, Fern Grove, Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Please find below some important information about teams / player registration, start times, directions and car parking for the event.

Squad sizes

Squad sizes are limited to 9, and we allow you to use up to 2 guest players within this squad of 9. Guest players are those who have not been registered with your club for the season 2010/11. All players must be under their age group as at the 31st August 2010 and although we do not require evidence of date of birth, we do recommend you bring this with you. Player Registration Forms are enclosed for your completion.

Team Registration

Completed team registration forms for all age groups (other than U7 and U8) must be handed into Event Control by 8.30 am with the first fixtures commencing at 9.00 am. These competitions will finish between 3.30pm and 5 pm, depending on how far your team progresses in the knock out phases.

The U7 and U8 team registration forms must be handed into Event Control by 9.30 am with the first fixtures commencing at 10.00 am. This section is scheduled to finish by 3pm with all participants receiving a medal.

Directions to Leon School, Fern Grove, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 3HQ.

Leon School is in the south west area of Milton Keynes, in the Water Eaton and Lakes Estate part of Bletchley.

Coming from the north, find your way to Bletchley then follow signs for Water Eaton and Drayton Parslow. Once on the Drayton Road follow the road until you see the school sports field on your left. Go past the first entrance to Fern Grove and take the second entrance to Fern Grove on your left.

Approaching from the south, get onto the A4146, follow signs for Drayton Parslow, and take the turning off the roundabout signposted Water Eaton (also signed Landfill Access). Follow the road over a narrow bridge, down the hill and take the first turn right into Fern Grove.

For those with Satellite Navigation the postcode of the venue is MK2 3HQ. More information about directions to the venue can be found on our club website www.mkwanderers.co.uk. Go to the tournament page, and access multi map and Leon School location links.

All cars will be directed to parking areas within the school grounds. Kindly follow the signposts and the directions of our stewards to ensure vehicles are swiftly and safely parked, and any road congestion for the residents of the estate is kept to a minimum. There will be a “Drop Off and Pick Up” area for those drivers not staying at the tournament, just follow the signs or ask our stewards for directions.

CAR PARKING ON ANY OF THE ROADS AND SIDE STREETS SURROUNDING THE VENUE IS PROHIBITED. ANY CARS PARKED OUTSIDE OF THE TOURNAMENT DESIGNATED AREA MAY BE TOWED AWAY. PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF OUR STEWARDS TO ENSURE YOUR VEHICLE IS PARKED SAFELY

Admission and Programmes

Admission charges to the MK Wanderers Tournament are as follows:

Adults - £3, including a programme.

Participating players - Free

Children under 18 - Free

Senior Citizens - Free

Kindly pass on these admission prices to tour parents and players so there is no misunderstanding on the day.

Please follow the signs and directions of the stewards to the entrance gate. Further programmes are available from Event Control. The programme contains a full set of tournament rules and all the fixtures, timings and qualification criteria for the Cup and Plate Knock-Out competitions.

Attractions

As well as some great football there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained throughout the day. Hot food and drinks stalls, licensed bar, sweets, candy floss, ice cream, side stalls and bouncy castles. We also welcome Event Photos to our tournament who will take outstanding action shots of your players during the day. These can be developed within minutes and will be available for sale before you leave. Your clubs participation at the MK Wanderers tournament is acceptance that Event Photos have your approval to take such photographs.

We are grateful to the Berks and Bucks Paramedics Service who will provide First Aid cover over the 2 days.

Above all, we hope that players, managers, parents and supporters approach the tournament with sportsmanship and fun as the key ingredients to make your day at MK Wanderers an enjoyable and memorable day for all.

Congratulations - We are the current winners of 2010 U8 Chiltern Junior 7 A-side Tournament. I wish to take this chance to thank all the players for their brilliance performance and good behavior the displayed on the day.- Well Done boys

Let me also give a special thank you to the parents and our funs for your great support and assistance given to the boys and the coach whilst on the tournament.

My biggest thank you also goes to coach BEN for stirring the team to its first tournament win. Thank you all and God bless

There will be football training this coming Saturday (14th May 2011) 10.30am in order to prepare for the Sunday tournament (15th May 2011)

Kindly note, I will be away on business the whole weekend, therefore Coach Ben will be fully in charge for the team on both days - Saturday training and also the Sunday tournament. Please assist him where necessary with the boys.
