Match Day : Saturday, 04 December 2010 - Away Game

Match Day :  Saturday, 27 Nov 2010 Saturday, 04 December 2010 - Away Game  Edlesborough Green - LU6 2JF (Pitch B)

Sundon Park Rangers Blues U8 v Luton Old Boys U8
Sundon Park Rangers Greens U8 v E.B. Lions Reds U8

Hi Francis - Direction (LU6 2JF)

The EB Lions U8 Blues are due to play you this Saturday.

Weather permitting, how about 10.30am KO?  We have been allocated Pitch B, at Edlesborough Green - LU6 2JF.  Pitch B is level with the tennis courts, but nearest the road.  I hope this makes sense when you arrive.  The car park is on Pebblemoor Road.  Please ask your parents to park either in the car park, or on one side of the road, but not both, for the benefit of local residents and businesses.

Having said that, the forecast suggests that the pitches may well be frozen (still) and so it would not be surprising if we have to postpone.  Perhaps we can touch base later in the week about this.  If the weather is frozen all week, then perhaps we can look to make a decision on Friday evening?  If I get any pitch information from club officials meanwhile, I will let you know.

Many thanks.

What a performance from the young guns, Kanu with 2 tremendous goals that rocked Ferrars Infants, although there goalkeeper played very well saving shots in the first half.  In the second half they put up resistance, but St Martins was too strong with a goal from Lathan......and a big up to Kienan who probably scored the goal of the season.  What a goal!  We all would like to welcome Rio Drew, who started his first game with St Martins against Ferrars.  Big up to all the players, an excellent performance.  Well done!

Goal !!! 4 - 1 Against Ferrars

Goal! Goal !  Goal! 4-1

St Martin’s Sportif 4 - 1 Ferrars Infant School

What a performance! Another wonderful display by the Sportif young stars - Great stuff all around
This game was to me a masterpiece with every player showing determination to win and at the same time producing quality movement with and without the ball. Two very special goals from Kanu Reginald set the game rolling with a third goal from Lathan Ward settling the first half.

The second half was also very eventful with a good footwork from both full center defenders Musau Mwendo and Kienan Malone; both showing some quality control and quick movements with ball up to the goalmouth with Kienan scoring one of the best goals of the season. This guy Kienan Malone (centre back) is up there with most goals of this season.

To sum up the friendly game; is when we saw Lathan Ward play very impressive defender racking him to my opinion as the man of the match. Let not forget to mention the Ferrars primary School’s best player - their goalkeeper who kept their team alive and kicking.

Again another good results on both the scoreboard and on technical display which prove that what is been done on training is taken up in the game.

To me it was a great performance by all players including the youngest player  in our team Amari.

On the score sheet this week
Musau Mwendo, Kienan Malone and Kanu Reginald .

Luton Old Boys U8 v E.B. Lions U8
St Martins U8 v Sundon Athletic U8
Sundon Park Rangers Blues U8 v Sundon Park Rangers Purples U8

5-0 End Results (St Martins U8 v E.B. Lions Reds U8)

St Martins Sportif - 5  0 - E.B. Lions Reds U8

This is what I thing about the Match; First, let me say that it was a nice setting for the players to display what their learned on training this week, I expected coordination between players, more proper stopping and control on the ball and a bit of accurate passing. Some players found it easy whilst other had problems on controlling or even netting, something we need to keep working on.

However, overall the game was fun to watch. The game had lots of opportunities to net more than 10 goals but we won't complain as we got goals from varies players including the full back Kienan Malone whom went on to score twice to add-on the bags of goals just finishing the game shy of half a dozen. To be fair to all players, their whole team did well, but two players were obviously outstanding.

Luca De Michele managed very well the mid field area ending up with own personal effort goal to his name and other player was our central defender Musau Mwendo of whom  showed some cool overlapping and also awareness by falling back on time to defend when need to. Lets not forget to name Daylan Campbell the central forward and  substitute Jason Fati  of whom both added their name to the score sheet.
