We end the season with a bang, winning the MK Wanderers FC 6-A-Side youth tournament (under 8) without conceding a single goal.
In brief, here is what took place. We did start the tournament a bit slow we must admit, with two draws in a row, one with Great Linford Warriors (0-0) followed by Great Linford Crusaders a very strong talented team (0-0). The next game we come alive and hit MK City (3-0) that definitely raised the bar and we started getting noticed as the team to beat.
The boys were all fit and ready apart form a Little scare where our Centre back - Musau Mwendo (awesome defending) was brushed heavily on the left thigh while warming up. However, nothing could stop us as some of the key players, to name but a few Lincoln Gilmartin, Jason Fati and Ernest Njoroge started getting on the score sheet.
The next games were challenging but winnable, and here below is reflected on our favour after seven competitive games.
St. Martins FC Vs MK Wanderers Hawks (0-0) -Draw
Great Linford Rhinos Vs St Martins FC (0-2) - Win
St. Martins FC Vs Roman Rangers (2-0) - Win
and Final game was between St. Martins FC and MK Wanderers Eagles (2-0) Win, ending our season on a high.
Let me take this opportunity to first congratulate the boys for showing good sportsmanship and also displaying such an entertaining football at very tender age. WELL DONE GUYS! we adore you. (Amari Paris-Chance, Brandon Rostagni, Daylan Campbell, Ernest Njoroge, Jason Fati, Kienan Malone, Musau Mwendo, Lathan Ward, Thaibe Onje, Rio Drew and Lincoln Gilmartin)
secondly, My big thank you to all the parents for their support and endless commitments to the boys and the club’s well being. And lastly but not least to our one and only coach Ben Campbell. He never stops working hard for the team and always there for the boys and parents when need be.

St martins U8 3 - 1 Luton Old Boys U8
GOAL GOAL GOAL
3 - 1
St martins U8 3 - 1 Luton Old Boys U8
First Half - we dominated as we always do, with lots of goal opportunities coming fast but in vain. Patience and persistence became the theme, not for long as usually our back players – Kienan Malone, Ernest Njoroge and Musau Mwendo constantly put good crosses along the goal mouth it was just a matter of time when we got a own goal from the Ernest cross from corner post.
The game was getting intense when Musau Mwendo crossed another stunning ball to the goal area making it easy for Rio Drew to make it two nil. It did not take long as we settled with expectations to see a flood of goals and within 5 minutes, Musau Mwendo nicked it using his left leg a sweet tapping to make it 3-0
Second Half - was somewhat flat with little forward adventure after resting key players like Luca De Michele, Rio Drew, and Daylan Campbell. Overall, the game was already won on the first half session despite the Luton old boys getting an easy goal just before the end of the match to make it 3-1
Congratulations! This week’s player of the match was Lathan Ward and supporting player was Rio Drew

Goal !!! 4 - 1 Against Ferrars
Goal! Goal ! Goal! 4-1
St Martin’s Sportif 4 - 1 Ferrars Infant School
What a performance! Another wonderful display by the Sportif young stars - Great stuff all around
This game was to me a masterpiece with every player showing determination to win and at the same time producing quality movement with and without the ball. Two very special goals from Kanu Reginald set the game rolling with a third goal from Lathan Ward settling the first half.
The second half was also very eventful with a good footwork from both full center defenders Musau Mwendo and Kienan Malone; both showing some quality control and quick movements with ball up to the goalmouth with Kienan scoring one of the best goals of the season. This guy Kienan Malone (centre back) is up there with most goals of this season.
To sum up the friendly game; is when we saw Lathan Ward play very impressive defender racking him to my opinion as the man of the match. Let not forget to mention the Ferrars primary School’s best player - their goalkeeper who kept their team alive and kicking.
