St Martins Football Club U8 were Crowned The Champions of 2011

We end the season with a bang, winning the MK Wanderers FC 6-A-Side youth tournament (under 8) without conceding a single goal.

In brief, here is what took place. We did start the tournament a bit slow we must admit, with two draws in a row, one with Great Linford Warriors (0-0) followed by Great Linford Crusaders a very strong talented team (0-0). The next game we come alive and hit MK City (3-0) that definitely raised the bar and we started getting noticed as the team to beat.

The boys were all fit and ready apart form a Little scare where our Centre back - Musau Mwendo (awesome defending) was brushed heavily on the left thigh while warming up. However, nothing could stop us as some of the key players, to name but a few Lincoln Gilmartin, Jason Fati and Ernest Njoroge started getting on the score sheet.

The next games were challenging but winnable, and here below is reflected on our favour after seven competitive games.

St. Martins FC Vs MK Wanderers Hawks (0-0) -Draw
Great Linford Rhinos Vs St Martins FC (0-2) - Win
St. Martins FC Vs Roman Rangers (2-0) - Win
and Final game was between St. Martins FC and MK Wanderers Eagles (2-0) Win, ending our season on a high.

Let me take this opportunity to first congratulate the boys for showing good sportsmanship and also displaying such an entertaining football at very tender age. WELL DONE GUYS! we adore you. (Amari Paris-Chance, Brandon Rostagni, Daylan Campbell, Ernest Njoroge, Jason Fati, Kienan Malone, Musau Mwendo, Lathan Ward, Thaibe Onje, Rio Drew and Lincoln Gilmartin)

secondly, My big thank you to all the parents for their support and endless commitments to the boys and the club’s well being. And lastly but not least to our one and only coach Ben Campbell. He never stops working hard for the team and always there for the boys and parents when need be.

St Martins Sportif 6 vs. 0 Sundon Park Rangers Blues

St Martins vs. Sundon Park Rangers Blues (6 - 0) We Win Again!

GOAL    GOAL   GOAL
6 - 0
Goal Scorers
Luca (1)
Musau (2)
Ernest (3), (6)
Lathan (4)
Rio (5)
Another Great Win for St Martins!
It was a rainy morning and the lads were up for the game, within minutes Luca De Michele fired a shot to make it 1-0.  There were lots of slide tackles due to the pitch being very soggy and SPR Blues were playing very aggressively, but by half-time the score was 2-0.  Goals by Luca De Michele and Musau Mwendo.
Ernest Njoroge (Man of the Match)
In the second half the players were passing the ball and helping each other out really well.  Ernest Njoroge scored a good goal, giving St Martins great confidence where Lathan Ward scored an excellent goal after the build up and awareness of each player.  I have to say great defending from Kienan Malone, Musau Mwendo, Ernest Njoroge, Jason Fati and Thaibe Onje, making it difficult for the SPR Blues to get past our wall of defense.

Excellent play from are smallest man on the pitch, Amari Paris-Chance and well done to Daylan Campbell, Brandon Rostagni and Rio Drew who scored the 5th goal.  St Martins ended the game 6-0 where the last goal from Ernest Njoroge deflected from the goal keeper.
GREAT JOB BOYS!
Man of the match goes to Ernest Njoroge.
I will like to also mention what a great game last week for Luca De Michele who scored 2 fantastic goals and was named man of the match. Well Done!

We did it again! 6 - 1

Saturday 5 February 2011
St Martins vs. Sundon Park Rangers Green
We did it again!  6 - 1
Jason Fati - Man of the Match
It was a breezy morning and St Martins came prepared after a good training session on Tuesday, from the time the whistle went St Martins had control of the game in the first half and went in at 5 - 1.  The scorers in the first half was Ernest Njoroge 2, Musau Mwendo 2 and Kienan Malone 1.  I must say what a good goal by Kienan who made an excellent lob over the keepers head.

George Hipwell
In the second half it was a bit tighter, SPR Greens made it harder for us, but we hung on and Daylan Campbell scored a good goal making it 6 - 1.  Player of the match was Jason Fati and supporting player was George Hipwell, who I must say trained very hard on Tuesday and made a really good effort on Saturday's game.  Well done to the squad!

Coach Ben.

St Martins Sportiff 10 - 0 E.B Lions

Obviously the Christmas festive did not affect the Sportif today, the players played like true premiership players.
Opening goal by Daylan Campbell followed by Luca De Michele, Kanu Reginald and Thaibe Onje.
By half-time the Saints were up by 6 - 0 and Thaibe scoring 2 lovely goals, who doesn't usually play striker.
Luca De Michele (Player of the Match)
In the second half the turkey and stuffing wasn't telling on the boys they played absolute brilliant football, with excellent passing and playing as a team.  The scorers in the second half was, Luca, Ernest and Kanu, which ended the game 10 - 0.
Big up to Luca de Michele who scored his first hat-trick and was announced the player of the match.

Coach Ben would like to give a Big...Big Up to every St Martin player, who played excellent today.
Well Done Lads!!
