St Martins vs. E.B Lions Blues
Saturday 26th March 2011

What a lovely morning. The sun was out and the pitch was in good condition, St Martin's was ready to play.
In the first half St Martins had lot's of chances to score but could not get the ball in the net, but eventually the first goal was scored by the new comer Lincoln Gilmartin, followed by another. What a good goal!

E.B Lions played very well and had many good chances to score. At the end of the first half Jason Fati made it 3-2 to St Martins. The second half of the game was really exciting, the young lads played really well, and was good entertainment for the parents to watch.

The game ended 5-2 to St Martins, with Lincoln Gilmartin getting his first hattrick for us, and a big up! to Brandon Rostagni who got his very first goal for St Martins. Well done! Congratulations to St Martins who done their coaches proud.  Great football lads!

St martins U8 3 - 1 Luton Old Boys U8

GOAL GOAL GOAL
3 - 1
St martins U8 3 - 1 Luton Old Boys U8

First Half - we dominated as we always do, with lots of goal opportunities coming fast but in vain. Patience and persistence became the theme, not for long as usually our back players – Kienan Malone, Ernest Njoroge and Musau Mwendo constantly put good crosses along the goal mouth it was just a matter of time when we got a own goal from the Ernest cross from corner post.

Lathan Ward  (Player of The Match)
The game was getting intense when Musau Mwendo crossed another stunning ball to the goal area making it easy for Rio Drew to make it two nil. It did not take long as we settled with expectations to see a flood of goals and within 5 minutes, Musau Mwendo nicked it using his left leg a sweet tapping to make it 3-0

Second Half - was somewhat flat with little forward adventure after resting key players like Luca De Michele, Rio Drew, and Daylan Campbell. Overall, the game was already won on the first half session despite the Luton old boys getting an easy goal just before the end of the match to make it 3-1

Congratulations! This week’s player of the match was Lathan Ward and supporting player was Rio Drew

St Martins Sportif Lose 0-2 Sundon Athletic U8

Sundon Athletic 2 - 0 St Martins Sportif

What a game! Yes we lost at last, However, this turned out to be the best game the St Martins Sportif ever played as there tried by all means to burst the Sundon Athletic net time after time , but all in vain. Good luck never turned up for the boys; all the same, they showed determination, skills and good football sense. We Loved it.
Congratulations! -Let’s not forget to credit the home team - Sundon Athletic U8 for making it very hard for our boys all round the pitch and also the way the defended their 2 goals was simply amazing.
Ernest Njoroge (Man of the Match)

Player of the match by majority of parents was once again Ernest Njoroge (Man of the Match) and Musau Mwendo sharing with Jason Fati the supporting player

My final word - All players including players from Sundon Athletic were incredible to watch. Again my Congratulations
